INDIAN AFFAIRS.
LONDON, May 26. Loddharam, the editor of Swarajya, of Allahabad, has been sentenced to transportation for a decade. He is the fourth editor of Swarajya who has been convicted' of sedition. The newspaper has now stopped publication. May 29. The Government of Eastern Bengal has confiscated Mr F. C. Mackarness's (exM.P.) pamphlet, in which he accuses a section of the Indian police of corruption and torturing prisoners. Mr Mackamess states that his allegations are based on Lord Curzon's 1903 report.
