DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.

The monthly meeting of the D.J.C. Committee was held on Thursday afternoon, and was attended by Sir George M'Lsan (chairman), Messrs J. Hazlett, W. L. Philp, P Miller, J. Thomson. A. S. Orbell, H. Salmon, J. Grow, L. C. Hazlett, S. Myers, and W. J. Coughlan. An apology was received from Mr Charters.

George Paterson wrote stating that he had complied with the conditions in regard to the sale of the ground for looseboxes, and asked if the club would now give him his title. —Agreed to. The Secretary of the Racing Conference wrote asking if the D.J.C. would again agree to the banding in one volume of all the club's book programmes for the coming season, the same as last year. —It was agreed to join with other clubs in doing so. , The following dates were fixed for next season's race meetings:—Spring. October 12 and 15; summer. December 26 and 27; autumn, February 22, 23, and 25; winter, June. 2 and 3. In connection with the building of the new stewards' stand, it was decided that the [ resident lay the foundation stone of same on the first day of the June meeting. It was decided that the first race at the winter meeting start at 12.30 and the last at, 4.20; that the same train service as' last year be applied for, and that the Band Committee engage a band.
