SYDNEY, May 1. The city and (suburbs were yesterday delivered over to' an army of hospita Saturday collectors. The total collections', including don* tions, amounted to £7593. The street collections amounted t« £6738, as against £6669 last year, but lasS year's total included a donation of £516 from Sir E. Shackleton. May 2. Saturday's collection yielded eight tons of copper, 139,309 pieces of silver, and 820 gold coins.
