TARIFF REFORM.
LONDON, April 18. The Westminster Gazette calls attention to the statement of several farmer* at the Tariff Commission opposing the free admission of colonial coin The leaders of the Tariff Reform are not disposed to adopt, Lord Rosebery's suggestion to drop their agitation. April 24. In the course of a letter to The Times Lord Salisbury says : " The attempt of the Conservatives to force a food tax upon a reluctant nation when a constitutional revolution is threatened is treachery to the country, an inconsistent policy, and one that cannot win without the help of the moderate men who voted.against them in January."
