The steamer Loodiana, which has been missing since she left Mauritius for Colombo on January 10, is ashore on Cosmaledo Island, in the Indian Ocean. " She carried 10 Europeans and 70 other passengers. Her cargo is valued at fe63,000. _

The destroyers Stag and Mallard collided during manoeuvres off Syracuse. The bow of each vessel was stove in, but the. airtight compartments prevented the vessels from sinking, and Marconigraphs brought the cruisers Bacchante and Aboukir to the scene. The cruisers tugged the destroyers to safety. SYDNEY, March 23. .
The steamer Manapouri, while bound from Newcastle, collided with the tug Girsatitude off Terrigal.
The tug sank in a few minutes. The Manapouri rescued the crew, and brought them and a punt which the tug wa6 towing to Sydney. One of the Manapouri's plates was damaged. It will he patched, and' she will sail to-morrow.,
[of the tug Port Jackson on February 12 was due to a flaw in the machinery causI ing a breakdown. The court exonerated the captain from all blame, and complimented him on his good eamaiiship in getting the vessel to land.
