THE BRITISH NAVY.

LONDON, January 6. Work in connection with the new Dreadnought to be-built by the Thames Ironworks Company will be commenced next week. The contract will afford employment to 2000 extra hands, receiving £3OOO in wages pen- week. The Clyde Navigation Dock Trust Company is constructing a Dreadnought graving dock. Its length will be 1020 ft and its width 110 ft.
