SOUTH ISLAND WYANDOTTE CLUB.
The annual meeting of the South Island Wjandotte Club was held <n the Christchurch Poultry Club's rooms on October 12. Mr A. Walker (president) presided, and there was an excellent 'attendance. The third annual report congratulated the club on its continued prosperity. The meetings held during the year had been w.?ll attended, and the club's third show, held in conjunction with tha Norrh Canterbury Poultry Club, had proved successful. The erftries, however, were not as large or representathe as at the club's two pieviou*. shows, but the exhibits were quite up to the standard, and the judging appeared to have given general satisfaction. To encourags young fanciers and popularise the club the executi\e considered it would be a wise step to include in th-e schedule classes op_en to members who have never won a first prize at the club's shows, and also n, recommend classes for breeding pairs. The balance sheet showed tho receipts to ha^ lven £20 12s 5d ond the expendrtme £15 15s lOd, leaving a credit balance of £4 16s 7d. The retiring president presented the r-lub's certificate* won at the last show, and heartily thanked the members for the support they had accorded him during his to m of office.
