The cross-country rider W. M'Kinnon. who was seriously injured when Irish fell in the Winter Stespleehasa at Ellerdia on Juno 9, and who it was thought had little chanes of pullinsr through, is now improving a little, and' hopes are enter-t-ain-eci for his recovery. The Auc-k'and nonius Silent, (by Soult) and Ettonia (by Eton), have been acid to Australian sportsmen, and were shipped to Sydn-av by the Mokoia to-day under the care o£ Mr A. E. Hopewell.
