TOMAHAWK ROAD BOARD.
The adjourned, meeting of the Tomaha<wk • Road Board was held on the 7th, and was attended by Messrs Maflhieson • (chairman), Henderson, and D. and J. Robertson. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: — Chairman, Mar Mathieson (reelccrted); treasurer, Mr Henderson (re-elected). The Chairman reported that the bridges in fhe valley were under repair. Mr Broad wrote asking to have the lupins cleared off the road line at the brickworks. — Agreed to. The olerk was instructed to insure the board's employees. Mr Henderson gave notice that he would move at next meeting that a. general rate of Jd in the pound be levied on all rateable property within the Tomahawk road district, the rate to h& payable in one sum on July 1. Accounts amounting to £32 3s lOd wer« passed for payment.
