D.J.C. COMMITTEE.
The monthly meeting of the D.J.C. Committee was held on the 14th inst., and was attended by the Hon. G. M'Lean (in the chair), Messrs Jame3 Hazlett, P. Miller, J. Gow, W. J. Coughlan, J. Thomson, and L. C. Hazlett. Apologies were received from Messrs S. Myers and H. Salmon. The Secretary of the Racing Conference notified that Mr Harrison had appealed against the D.J.C. decision in the- EousLoftus case at s tho Winton meeting, and that the appeal would be heard at Christchurch on February s.— lt, was resolved that Mr P. Miller should represent the club at the appeal. The Vincent Jockey Club wrote stating that it had disqualified E. Dwyer (rider) and the horse Vyvyan for three months from January 2 for not trying to win in the Five Oaks Handicap at its meeting. — It was resolved that the disqualification bo endorsed.
