OTAGO FARMERS' HORSE BAZAAR.
The Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association of New Zealand (Ltd.) report:— On i Saturday last we held our usual weekly norse sale at our horse bazaar. There was a good entry, comprising 55 horses of all classes. The quality of the horses, except in a few instances, was not as good as we j ; have had at our sales of late- There was a representative gathering of farmers, contractors, and town carriers, and bidding was good for upstanding sexpress and j j epring-cart horses. We had fewer draughts forward for this sale than we have had for some time past. Good cHfty sorts suitable for farm work sold at up to late quotations, as also did sound young vanneats suitable for town work. Harness horses, if any- ; thing, were slightly easier; but a number of this class from the country brought good values, and all-*of them went to fresh j stables at prices quite equal to -late ruling values. Next Saturday's sale will be our last fixture in the horse line for this year, consequently we expect a large entry. Our annual harvest sate of working mares and geldings will be held about the "middle of January. We quote: Good useful draught mares .and geldings (young and sound), from £35 to £45 ; lighter - sorts and older, I £23 to £33; heavy lorry pairs, from £80 to £100 ; useful plough maree, and geldings, £30 t0. £40; pedigree Clydesdale mares, to £150; good sdrta of Clyde*- i dale' mares, suitable.
