A RAILWAY DISASTER.

; NEW YORK, October 17. Forest fires destroyed a culvert, detailing a train containing a load of people fiom Metz, in Michigan. The wreckage and piles of railway sleepers caught fire, whereupon the men were seized with panic and fled, leaving the women and children. In one car 15 charred skeletons were found. The fireman took refuge in the engine tank?, and was boiled to death.
