OAMARU MARKETS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) OAMARU. October 19.
The "week Ims been a quiet one in all classes of farm produce. A few lots of wheat have cnanged- hands, Tuscan bringing 4s 2d at country eidings, less commission, but in other cases 4s 2d net at growers' eidings waa refused, holders being confident that their grain was good property. Oats have been bought at Is 9d to Is lOd, Jess commission, at sidings for "good feed, •tf of export busiocas there is & dearth,
farmers asking more than buyers might give. Freshly picked Derwent potatoes have* been sold at £4 f.0.b., sacks in, but the transactions are not large. Winter wheat is looking exceptionally well, but fthe spring sowing of wheat and most of the oats are very backward. Acceptable rains early in the week benefited grass and grain materially.
