The Auckland Office reports that 103 employers applied for 110 servants during the ironth, and 54 places were filled- Ninety* four applications for work were made by domestics for employment. Applications were also made by governesses, laundresses, milliners, and nurses. ' At the Wellington Office 111 applications for domestics and others wete received, but the number supplied is not stated. From the Christchurch Office 47 servants were sent to employment. A. large number of applications for servants is on the books.
