WOMEN'S EMPLOYMENT BUREAU. The report of the Dunedin Office "says: — . The amount of business transacted during the past month shows a' material advanceon that of the previous period. • A large number of employers have made inquiry, whilst a corresponding* increase has taken place in the number of servants asking- foe assistance. The latter include a variety of occupations, those most generally in demand being generals, and tbey are tne most difficult to obtain. Notices" setting' out tho advantage of the office have been sent to 1200 persons, and it is expected that some good results «an be looked forward to. The Auckland Office reports that 103 employers applied for 110 servants during the ironth, and 54 places were filled- Ninety* four applications for work were made by domestics for employment. Applications were also made by governesses, laundresses, milliners, and nurses. ' At the Wellington Office 111 applications for domestics and others wete received, but the number supplied is not stated. From the Christchurch Office 47 servants were sent to employment. A. large number of applications for servants is on the books.
