WELLINGTON, Ma*ch 11. The Cabinet has accepted the tender of! Mr G. Garner, of Wellington, for the -erec* tion of ihe new public buildings at Hoki« tika. The contract price ie £6966. I The tender of Charles Bailey, of Auckland, was accepted for the construction of two oil launches at £328 each for the oyster fisheries in the Auckland bays. The Government is gradually acquiring! the township of Te Aroha, which promises to become, like Rotorua, a State township. The Cabinet to-day authorised the expenditure of £2400 in acquiring anothe* portion of the town.
