The natch Albion v. Grange was commenced on the North Ground on Saturday under very unfavourable conditions.

SECOND GRADE. Albion and Opoho met at Carisbrook on Saturday, Albion putting together 23 ( runs before being disposed, of. Shelton and Strang opened for Albion, and kept together until 58 was on_ the board,Stiang being run out, having made 26 runs in nice style. Shelton ..who has been batting very consistently" this season was also run out, having contributed 30 in good style. C. Cameron who was. indisposed, adopted stonewalling tactics, and contributed 22, being at the wickets for an hour and a-half for'his runs. Vorr,eth batted well for his score of 74, got in good style.- Brinsley (13) and Mowat (10) also batted well. Collar and Dunne wees the most successful bowlers tried for Opoho. Opoho, on going to the wickets, lost four wickete for 52, Anderson-con-tributing 19 not out and being the only batsman to reach double figures. M^'Glashan and Black secured the wickets. Carisbrook D tried conclusions with the Grange on Saturday. Carisbrook, winmng the toss, batted first and compiled 115. Fenwick (33) batted freeely. Robinson (15K Moore (15), and Alloo (17 not. out) also batted well. Grange replied with 104. Patterson (28), Cnadwick .(21), Weir (22) showing good form. Carisbrook * m their second innings have lost one wicket for 18. Coombs and Spence, for Carisbrook bowled well, as did -Wright and Crosbie for Grange.
*THIRD GRADE. Albion met and defeated Cariebrook E on the North Ground on Saturday by 75 runs. Carisfcrook, batting first, compiled 54, Frasei\ (12) apd Baldry.(ll) being the chief scorers. Albion -made 129. » ne P" herd (44), Edie (43 not- out), and'Morgan(l3) played well. C. Hart (six for 31) and Worral (three for 16) secured the wickets for Albion, whilst Coventry and Logan. ■ were the most successful for Carisbrook. . Sfc Kilda~ and Grange . met at Culling Part St. Kilda, batting first, were all disposed of for 39 runs, J. Beck being the only one to get double ' figures. Grange on "going in could only manage to reach. 52 runs, GaU&nd reac&fng. double figures for his side. St. Martin's No. 1 defeated St. Martin'^ No. 2 on the former's ground by four wickets and 47 runs. No. 2, batting first, compiled 76, No. 1 responding with 125| for six wickets. For the winners Wooda (32), Botting 25' not out), Watkins (24), A, . King (12), and'-E: Drake (11) batted welf,> as did Milton (36), Collins (10). and Booth; (7 not out) for- the losers, -King brothers bowled well for No. 1, and "Booth for No. 2,; Mornington -defeated Albion by 27 runs^ Mornington made '87 runs. Haig (20)y Atmore (15),, and Baskiville (10) batted w<jlK Albion responded with 60 (A. Binnie 29;. Otto 12).
