VINCENT RACES. (From Our Own Correspondent.) ALEXANDRA, January 2.
The annual race meeting oi tbe Vincent Jockey Club was held yesterday and to-day [ in unfavourable weather, a strong wind blowing on both days and making conditions most unsatisfactory. There was. a fair attendance on both days. In the Railway Handicap to-day a protest was lodged against Zero for interference, and the rider (D. King) was disqualified for six months. The sentence was certainly somewhat severe,, as it was plainly visible that the interference, which look place in the straight, was quite traintentional, and had a small fine baen imposed it would have met the case, as the alleged crossing did not in any way affect the race, and Zero was over a length in fronrt at the time. The last race had not been run when the public left the course . Up till the second last race the euro of £2999 was put through the machine, as against £2965 last year.
