FIGHTING IN KOREA

PORT DARWIN, pecember 12. Interesting details have come to hand wrth reference to the fighting in Korea. A Seoul despatch states that at dawn on November 12 a Japanese force attacked* 500 insurgents at Heiean. The latter fled, and left a number of dead and .many, weapons. On November 14 the insurgents cut th« telegraph wires between Bunsen and Kaifo, on the Seoul-Wiju railway, thus interrupting communication with West Seoul. The workmen who were sent to repair the line were attacked by the rebels, andl troops had to be despatched to protect; them.
