TROTTING STUD BOOK.
10 THE EDITOR.
Sm, — 1 have been commissioned by the New Zealand Trotting Association to bring out a second edition of that useful work, the New Zealand Trotting Stud Book. The undertaking is a big one, and it is only with the co-operation of breeders that the desired amount of suocess can be obtained. This being so, may I, through your valuable columns, appeal to all who have the breeding of light harness horses at heart to communicate with m*e, and forward particulars of any foalings that have taken place during the last three seasons. I should also be glad to have the breeding of any brood mares with trotting blood in their veins not included in the first volume of the Stud Book. There are many of these in the Otago district, and while it costs nothing to have them and their progeny included, the benefit derived by their owners is incalculable. I shall be pleased to forward to anyone on application forms for filling in, and instructions for guidance. Thanking you, Sir, for past favours,— l am, etc., F. C. Thomas.
