AUSTRALASIAN VISIT TO BE
SHORTENED.
SYDNEY, November 15.
Mr Keir Hardie, in a letter to Mr JL C. Watson, states that owing to his ex« tended visit to India he must curtail hit visit to Australasia, as he wishes to bf back. in England in time for th« opening of the House of Commons. He says W will endeavour during his Btay to see as many Labour men as possible. He add* that the needs of India are great. "My, presence or absence from Australia," he. adds, "is a matter of small importance,; whereas by obtaining information con* cerning the .people of India I may be able to do some service to*them on my return.*'
CEYLON, November 15.
Mr Keir Hardie, M.P., called at Queen* House here, but Sir Henry M'C'alJum, the Governor, iras too busy to receive him, Mr Hardie sails for Australia to-morrow*
