TIMARU GRAIN REPORT.
Wheat. — The market for this cereal has during the week been fairly quiet, there net being much inquiry and holder's generally »re very sanguine in their ideas, and will not sell at prices that will enable merchants to do business. One or two sales have been reported during the we*k that would equal, for mixed lines — i.e., velvet, Tuscan, and red chaff, 4s id f.0.b., sacks extra. There is practically no fowl wheat to be procured, and merchants are using milling wheat to fill their orders.
Oats. — This market has taken up considerably during the week, and it is meet difficult to procure oats from farmers. Values may be reckoned for duns and A Gartons 3s 3d per bushel. There are no B Gartons ■to be got, and for Danish 3s Id per bushel, all f o/b., sacks included.
Potatoes. — This market keeps firm, «/id sales are reported at 4s 10d per ton f 0.b., sacks included.
