REEFTON, February 14.
A meeting of the Ingiewood Victoria Mines Syndicate <wa« held last night, when there was a large attendance of shareholders. ■ Mr Stevenson, who occupied the chair, gavedetails of the recent inspection of the mine by -a committee, which, he said, -exceeded the most sanguine anticipations of any of those who saw the mine. Mr R. Barley, a member of the committee, gave details of the mino and works. He said that the battery, cyanide plant, and boiler were in good condition,, though the latter wquired bricking in. Thm mine was in first-dais working order. &g No. 5 level there was a small reef, -which} should pay for further development. If thiM level were extended a distance of 900 ft i? would give them 250 ft %ack from the Victoria reef, which carried good gold. In No. 41 level the stone in the s topes varied from 2ffi {o -4ft, and -would average over 2ft. Tbid Eton* gave an assay value of 15dwi fHiei block waß 62ft long, and was still lengthen* ing as it was sioped upon. He thought thejf had got an excellent property at a very low* figure. Mr R. M. Aitken proposed that the 1 property be -floated into a company of 30,000 shares of 5s -each, of which 6000 paid-up shares be paid to the vendors, the latter tg
