VICTORIA JUBILEE CONVALESCENT FUND.
The usual monthly meeting of the com- 1 nlittee of the above was held in the Town Hail on Friday last; present — Mesdames Theomin (.in the chaii). Morris, Phillips, Israel, O'Neill, E. C. Reynolds, Johnston Brc-wn, and Misses Hutchison and Fergus. A luimber of cases were dealt with, and convalescents enabled to obtain necessary change of air. The following subscriptions were received — Mrs Colquhoun 10s 6d, Miss Hutchison ss, Mrs Phillips 10s, Mrs W. Mason (Queenstown) £1 Is, Mrs O'Neill 10s 6d, Mrs Johnston Brown 10s Cd, " Deep Gratitude " donation £1. Amongst other oommui.icationg from recent patients, all expressive of gratitude, which the committee were exceediug'y pleased to receive, the following may be quoted. — "Enclosed you will find £1. a small contribution towards the well-deserving Victoria Jubilee Convalescent X''und. I truot you know long before now how deep!y grateful I am to the Convalescent Committee for the I rest and benefit I received while in their home at Palmersrton. As I do not receive a j very big w«ge, and have many calls on my income, I hope ycu will be pleased to receive my little lot. Sincerely trusting that the ! fund and its woik will piosper very much. : and ever receive the help and support it deserves. — Deep Gbatitude." '.
