SHOW WEEK NOTES AND OBSERVATIONS.

Dear Dot,— Merely- a few things that caught my usually dull eye chiring show week in Dunedin,' and which I have scribbled a$ calculated to interest L.F. both in town and country. It was reported that: — — Tomahawk worked so hard 'and ao diligently in thinga pertaining to the bay without, the aid of his "chopper." — Harry was noticed by several at different close intervals during certain days buzzing around corners on his bike en route to the Agricultural Buildings, and wishing fervently there were no edifices in the road to stop his progress. Why did you not construct an airship, churn? — Go Hon, on the Wednesday night at the bay, was heard to exclaim to the engrossed onlookers something after this style:— "Buy a catalogue of our bay. sir, only Id; can't do without it while you're looking at tha exhibits. Go without matches for a week and buy one." " Right you are; thank you." 1 " Catalogue of the bay, Id each." he went on. — C.C.M. devoted a large portion of her time to the bay. and without the great help of herself and her sisters I don't think it 3 success would have been nearly so great.

— Some 19 town and country D.L.F. arrived on the scene just too late to be included in the annual group, and subsequently Lilianfels and numerous others were much absorbed in the mystic doings of the printers.

— Didn't You Knew seems to know how to master a pick, after his dexterous performance at the social, although he says, " Work makes your back ache!" I knew that, chum; didn't you?

—At the jovial tea par,ty on the afternoon of Friday, tße Bth, there w-ere such distinguished and honoured individuals among the royalties as Golden Princess, Indian Queen, Lxdy ■ Dundas, Lady .Benuasi, Lady Esler, Lady Stair, and Golden Prince. Strange, .wasn't it? :.< -

— Various dark members wanted to "C. A."bout * consignment of sweets which somehow or other hate not yet turned up. ■ - ' — If such "bush roamers-" as Texas Jack, Indian Chief, Toruahn-wk, 1 and Indian Queen were lined up in battle array, together with a ''darky," things would look ratber savagelike, would- they not, L.F.?

— Certain male clubbites sincerely thank a North Otago L.F. for the donated cake, which could not be " staired " at, I'm sorry to relate, after a certain bygone evening. — Ned felt a little " awkward " when responding on behalf of Maidie M., who rendered so exquisitely " Curfew shall not ring to-night." "I DEMAND silence," eh, Ned? — A certain down south visitor at the social, from passing glances underwent a " series " of smiles, although he, with good cause, looked somewhat tired after travelling so many lengthy hours. — Dot's Own Critic (abbreviated D.0.C.) earned the thanks of many by so ably presiding at the piano for various dances and games.
