W. S. writes : — " I went to the Dunedin winter show and enjoyed myself very much. We are milking 36 cows just now. I don't like getting out of bed these cold mornings to milk them. I went to a concert and dance last Friday." Pansy, who is 10 years old, and lives at Pukepito, writes. — "The wea/ther has been very wet and cold lately. I am in the Third Standard and like going to school very much. Over 30 children attend the school." Wee Toxald writes : — " I am to be promoted to a higher standard at school. My sister and two little nephews are at present in tho North Island. I went to Dunedin to see them off. They sailed in the Manuka. We will be getting cur winter holidays soon. One day she was chased by two fierce bulls, but fortunately escaped by creeping through a fence. Spider writes: — "We are having very bad weather at present.
