CHRISTCHURCH GRAIX AND PRODUCE REPORT.
(Press, sth inst.) There is very little business passing between farmers and merchants in either wheat or I oats. Offerings are very limited, and the j prices asked for oats are beyond buyers' limits. il number of sales of jats have taken place between merchant and merchant to fill orders in hand, and this business has been done on a basis of prices below what gTOwers are asking. No fust sales of either wheat or oats are reported.. It is reported that some sales of chaff have been mad© in the country up to £3 per ton, but merchants state that £2 15s is the highest price- they are giving for prime, and that supplies at that figure are equal to requirements. Potatoes are without change in price. There k l?|s. inquiry 25. typ SH* 2* Saer.chsinjy^
