ALHAMBRA THEATRE.

There was a' full house at the popular ' Alhambra Theatre on Saturday evening, when a new pTogTamme for the week was presented. The company has been strengthened by- the addition of two trick cyclists, whose- acrobatic performances include si number of balancing and posing acts which have not hitherto been presented to a Dunedin audience. This " turn," in addition to being decidedly clever, is made humorous by the antics of one of the " Two Kranks," who enacts the role of a dumb clown. Mr Walter Anderson, a descriptive balladist, who is also an addition to the company, contributed a number of vocal items, ' which were well received, the best of these being the baritone item, " Farewell, my darling." Miss Phyllis Chrystall. a danseuse and balladist, met with a cordial reception on making her first appearance, and the laugh-ter-provoking Jack Hagan had to respond to several encores. Mr Ward Lear, who occupies first position as a comique and siffleur with Alhambra audiences, was also recalled several times. The talented Ibsons, Miss Beryl Lytton, Miss Ethel Leslie, and the Sisters Rowell were heard and seen in new items, I and "The Falls of Niagara" gave place in the animated pictures to incidents in the royal visit to India and a number of comical representations, some of which the audience showed a disposition to have repeated. A comedietta and an amusing finale also constituted part of a good bill of fare, which should attract large ; audiences during the week. c
