Another of his sons, Hiawatha Godolphin. was first as a two-year-old at the Glasgow stallion show in 1904; and in 1905 was first in the three-year-old class, and also won the Cawdor Cup. MARCONI'S g-dam, Susy of Kipps (3433), C.5.8., as a -yearling was first at Airdrie; as a two-year-old first at Airdrie and second, at Forrestfield; as a three-year-old first and special at Airdrie, Shotts, Forrestfield, and Kirkintilloch; as a four-year-old first and special at Airdrie, Shotta, Forrestfield, Lanaark. and Kirkintilloch, second at Maryhill and Hamilton, third at Kilbride, and second at the Highland Society's show at Glasgow for brood mare. By the above it will be seen that MARCONI ia from the best strain of Clydesdale blood, as his near relations are the champions of the present day in Scotland. At the Old "Cumnock show in April, 1905, MARCONI'S ; yearlings were first, second, and third, which speaks well for his first year at the stud.
