THE HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLE. WELLINGTON, September 29.

The following message has been received by the Premier from the High Commissioner: — "The New Zealand team gained a victory over Northampton to-day by four goals and four tries to nothing. Northampton gave New Zealand their best game so far. The tries were secured by Mynott (2), Hunter (2), Harper (2), Stead, and Tyler (one each). The game was a very fast one The New Zealand team were very favourably received."
