STOCK SALE AT MILTON.

Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association of New Zealand (Limited) report: — "We held a special sale of dairy cows, store cattle, anil sheep at Coombs's yards, Milton, on Thursday last, the 14th, when we yarded and sold 113 head cattle, this being a record number for Hilton. The demand was fairly good, and a complete clearance of the entry was the result at the following range of prices : — Dairy cows realised £3 5s to JE6 ss ; steers and heifers, in rather low condition off the mountains, 34s to 97s 6d ; other lots, 32s to 67s 6d. Sheep : We penned 318, princijDally ewes in lamb. The demand was not good, and only a few pens found buyers; the bulk of the wether entry was turned out.
