While pnoss ' were on the whole easier, still there was really nothing to complain of under this hend- . ing, and sheep, generally, sold as well as j could bj expected considering the number j offered and the scarcity of feed. Something over 5000 were offered, and with Uie exception J of two small lines were all sold. Ewes in lc-inb fold at 26s 6d, while hoggets sold to ISs 6d for very good. 17s for medium, and pmatl at 16s. while hill lambs sold to 14s, and forward wethers tc 225. Prices for heavy hides were easier, and light do were much the same as the previcus "sale. Tallow and Fat. — The market remains firm and prices are the same. Grain.— Oats : The quantity offering is small and the market is firm, with an upward tendency, shippers finding some difficulty m filling their orders. Quotations : Prime milling, Is lOJd to Is lid; best feed, Is 9d to Is lOd; inferior. Is 6d to Is BAd ; liest seed lots, 2s to 2s 3d (sacks extra).
