There were moderate entries of stook at Addmgton Yards, and a fair attendance Store sheep to-day, which were mostly wethers, were in good demand, and the fat sheep market, which was not a laige one, wa.s firm. A small yarding of fat cattle sold at impioved rates, ard pig?, exctpt poikers. sold at late rates. There was a null pale for store and dair.' oat+le, of which ihera \. ere poor entries Store Sheep —A number of good lines of two, foui, and six-tcoth wethers w&ie offered, vhese forming the bulk of the entiy. There was a strong demand for both wethers and hoggets, and a ckarancs was effected, an As-nourton buyer beino the principal purchaser of wethers. The iollowing were the principal sales:— 27o wethers at 24s 6d, 62 at 23 s, 93 at 20s 9d, 145 at 20a 6d, 264 at 20s, 120 at 19s 9d, 53 at 183 Sd, 152 at 18s, and 57 meriiios at 7s Id 14 hoggets at 17s lOd 76 at 17s 9d, 26 at 17s sd, 60 at IGs Bd, 40 at 16s, and li<2 culls at 13s 7d. Fat Sheep. — Ih'e yarding wan not a very largo one, and was- made up chiefly of good to primo crcssbred and haHbred wethers, with a few lines of crossbred ewes a.id merino wethers. The morket was firm, especially for roirdiiun-weig'ht sheep. Only a few lines were bought for freezing. As there was a much smaller proportion of unfinishad sheep in than lsst week graziers were not able to pick up many lots. The range »£ prices was. — Prime- wethers, 23s to 27$ Id ; extra to 28s 6d ; other, 21s to 22s '6d; prime ewes, 22s to 25s Sd ; medium, 18s to 21s 9d ; others, 15s to 17s' 6d; prime meiino wethers 19s 6d to 21s, 4d ; medium, 17s to 19s ; others, 14s to 16s Fat Cattle —'The entry of fat cattle totalled 135, which was below the average. The quality was mostly good, and the market opened at higher lates, .but several consignments coming in late steadied the market, though prices all round were then firmer than last week. A line of seven steep from Maasrs W. and C. Parnham (Kaiapoi) made £8 10s to £9 12s 6d, and other steers brought from £6 15s to £11 2s 6d ; hellers, £6 7s 6d to £6 17s 6d; and cows, £5 to £7 — oqual to 22s to 24s 6d for prime and -05 to 21s 6d for medium per 1001b. A fair yarding of veal calves sold at 7s 6d to £2 10s. - Storo and Dairy Cattle. — A small mixed entry met with a dull sale, and there was not much demand for dairy cows which were mostly inodruna and inferior sorts. Yeailrngs fetched 28s; 18-D:onths, 51s to 555; two-year-old heifers, 51s; -three-yeai-old steexs, 67s 6d to 82s 6d; three-year-oid heifers, 755; dry cows, 18s to 65s 7d; cows, 88s to 150s. Pigs. — A fair entry : bacoaers selling at last weck^s rates, while porkers were easier. Heavy baconers made 45s to 525, equal to 3d to 3£d pir lb; light, 35s to 425, equal to 3id to 3|d per lb; porkers, 20s to 30s, equal to 3!d to 4d per lb. There was a rather belter inquiry for stores, and they sold as follows: — Large stores 16s to 20s; medium, 12s 6d to 15s; and weaners, 5s to 10s.
