MYSTERY FLAT GOLD DREDGING COMPANY.
The following report for the year ended June 30 will be presented to shareholders in the Mystery Flat Gold Dredging Company at the annual general meeting: — " Since the date of the last annual meeting the financial position of the company has undergone a very pleasant change. At that time the returns were not covering working expenis-es, and the position of the company could not be deemed to be in a particularly healthy condition. About the end of last year, however, the returns greatly improved, and have kept up ever since. In February of this year the directors were- able to declare a dividend of 'one shilling per share, and at the same time place back the sum of £400 on fixed deposit to -fcb© credit of reserve account ; and since February further dividends — viz., 7s per share — have been declared. The amount of gold won during the year was 140doz 15dwt lgr, yielding £5534 4s, and £2204 16s was paid in dividends, making 15s per share; or a total of £4134 returned to the shareholders since the dredge started work."
