PATERS ON'S FREEHOLD GOL D MINING COMPANY.

The following report for the year ended July 31 will be presented to shareholders m the Paterson's Freehold Gold Mining Company at the annual general meeting: —

" During the year the returns have been very ordinary, but the dredges have worked good time, and gold to the value of £7867 16s ad has been -won, making th.c total output of gold to date £25,092 17s lid. Four dividends have been paid during the- year amounting to £2700, making six dividends paid to date ; amount £4200. A sum of £1600 has been paid on account of W. H. Paterson's mortgage, which now stands at £1400, and amount due to James Paterson, £675 2s 6d, has been liquidated. A balance remains to the credit of profit and loas account of £4095 4s lid. Your directors recommend that £4000 of this amount be placed to the depieciation of plant and property."

On 31st July last there was cash in the bank and in hand to the amount of £8 and gold in hand to the value of £168. Sundry creditors- totalled £216, a sum of £53 was owing to the bank at Gore, and £6 on account of the Waikaka Sludse Channel.
