LOCALLY-MANUFACTURED ENGINES.

THAMES, June 29. Tne last of the engines manufactured here by Price Bros, was despatched to Te Arc-ha and back to-day. A large number of invitations were issued, and a representative gathering was conveyed. The engines, as previously described in the contract, weio completed well within tho tim-e stipulated by the- Government, and the examining officials are very well pWs<=»d with the quality of thf work turned out. Prico Bras, were highly congratulated by those present on the success attending tlieir business efforts. To-day's function was a great success.

Tho Minis+er of Justice has communicated with the magistrates of the colony asking thorn to hoar cases against children behind closed doors.
