SALE OF CLYDESDALE ENTIRE COLT.
Mes3r3 Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report having sold privately on account of Mr James W. Blair, Abbotpford Farm, Outram, to Messrs R. Campbell and Son, Benrnore Station, at a high figure, a> very handsome bay purebred Clydesdale entire <:olt, rising three years' old, and bred by Mr J. F. Reid; of Eldenslie. This colt is of great promise, being remarkably well grown, and having grand open feet, set on beautiful pasterns, and clean, hard, flat bone, with an abundance of fine silky hah-. He is got by Prince of Wales out of Violet, by Hatfield; colt's grand-dam Young Jeannie, by Pride of Galloway; g.g.dam Jeannie 11, by Heather Jock; g.g.g.-dam Fleming's Jeannie, by Sir William Wallace. Prince of Wales, by Clydebank (imported) ; colt's g.g.-sire Primus; g.g.g.-sire, the worldrenowned Prince of Wales. It will be seen from the above pedigree that the colt is descended on both his sire and dam's sides from the best strains of Clydesdales that the Old Country has produced, and Messrs R. Campbell and Son are to be congratulated on their enterprise in securing such a fashionably-bred horse.
