OAMARU PRODUCE AND STOCK MARKET. (From Our Own Correspondent.) OAMARU, June 18.
There is little difference between the wheat market this week and last. Farmers have fceen either in Dunedin or were busy with their work, and in tlie present state of things millers are not disposed to operate in more than hand-to-mouth supplies. Velvet has been quitted at 2s lOd at stations (less commission), and Tuscan at 2s 9£d and 2s lid. the latter fof a fine line destined for the north. Local millers have stcured small parcels at up to 2s 9d net for velvet. Seconds have been sold at 2s 2J to 2s 3d (less commission). Oats have moved off in small parcels, Gartons at up to Is 7d (less commission), and Danisb at up to Is 6d, while for seed lines id and Id more has been realised. For an extra good line of duns, suitable for seed, 2s was obtained. Potatoes are very firm, and holders are disinclined, to quit at present prices, the current value being .£6 at stations (less commission), while for some lots for shipment north £6 10s (f.0.b., Oamoru) hay been obtained, though Wellington buyers report that they are arranging, to g«;t their supplies from Tasmania.
