THE OTAGO EXECUTIVE.
A meeting of the Otagq Executive of the Farmers' Union was held in the office of the secretary (Mr J. T. Pram on Friday. Mr Jno. Clarke (president) was in the chair, and there was a full attendance. The meeting- wa.j one of the most enthusiastic held for some time, and bodes well for the future success of the union. Steveral matters of more or. less importance were discussed and dealt with. The secretary was instructed to visit Kaitangata on Thursday next to assist in the formation of a new branch there. Messrs Buckland, Orbell, and Jas. Ross were appointed a deputation to wait upon the Hon. the Minister of Railway re carriage of ground lime. The final arrangements re provincial organisership were left in the hands of the Working Committee, with power to act, most branches being keen on this project.
