DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS.
Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follows . — As we anticipated, the entries for Saturday's sale were not mimerous, and business was practically at a standstill, the principal reasons being that both buyers an-d sellers prefer waiting for our anni-al winter horse fair, which take 3 place on Thursday and Friday first. The attendance was composed principally of town and suburban buyers and onlookers, very few farmers being present; no doubt witli the anticipation of spending this week m town, attending the winter show and horse sale, they refrained from coming in on Satnrdnv. Buyers were not plentiful, and bidding was slow. Those in want of horses evidently had their minds made up to wait for our special sale on Thursday, the 15th, when we shall offer 161 draught mares and sidings, pedigreed Clydesdale mares and fillies, etc. On tha whole we had a fairly good turnover a fair number of all sorts changing hands.
