ASHBURTON GRAIN MARKET.
Wheat. — There has been a quieter feeling »h the market, many buyers holding off, having purchased fairly large quantities during the previous week, and being anxious to deal •with their purchases before buying further. The weather hais not been suitable for delivery, and this also has checked offerings. Prices remain firm at: Tuscan 2s Sd, pearl 2s 7d, Hunters 2s 6d to 2s 6£d.
Oats. — A few lines of damaged oats have leen disposed of for feed purposes, otherwise there are few offering, and several orders ihave been passed, and supplied from the south in consequence. There is no alteration in prices, which are: Canadians Is 7d to Is Bd, duns and Cartons Is 6Ad to ls~7d, Danish -Is 'Aid to Is sd.
Oatsheaf Chaff.— There has been a. better Bemand, and prime quality has advanced, 55s and s?s 6d being now obtainable on trucks. Discoloured, 50s to 52s 6d.
