The Association game between Hid Northern and Southern was noteworthy on account of the restless energy that both' teams displayed in their endeavour to win. A bright featuic was the excellent combined passing- rushes by the forwards of both teams, wnich resulted m a large score being placed to the credit of each club. The issue was in doubt right up to the call of tune, botli teams making strenuous effoita to secure the winning goal. Brcomfield, in, goal for Southern, wa-o rather weak. Ashton, Allen.
