IMPERIAL PARLIAMENT. LONDON, June 6.
As a result of a meeting of Liberal members of the House of Commons interested in the colonies, the Right Hon. Mr Haldane, K.C., intends to ask Mr Balfour for an opportunity to discuss in Parliament the desirability of making better provision for the continuity and efficiency of the Colonial Conference. The meeting agreed that it is desirable in the intervals between the conferences to collect materials relating to the general interests of the Empire, also to arrange more systematic and frequent consultation among statesmen responsible for the conduct of different parts of the Empire. The meeting consulted Sir Frederick Pollock.
