The following report for the year ended March 31 -will be presented to shareholders in the Lady Roxburgh Gold Dredging Company tit the fifth annual general Effecting : — " During the. period tinder review the dredge lias won 10660z ldwt v Bgr, of gold, and there lias been' paid in dividends the «urn of 3s. There is on fixed deposit in the Bank of New j Zealand an amount of £309, this being retained ! as a reserve fund t to meet- any case of emergency that may arise. , The open account as per balance-sheet shows &a amount to credit i »f £347 0s Id. The worked portion of the company's holding -has- been surrendered, and ct re-suxvey made, taking in an additional area ot-ground at the bottom of the claim. The ■company's claim now embraces an area of 50 acres, being one mile of • the river, and the nxedge should therefore have a long life before her. The dredge is in thorough working order, and is now (May 16) opening out at the bottom ijoundary of the claim." The amount expended during the 12 months ended Maxch 31 was £3479 11s 3d, while a sum of £1008 15s was distributed in dividends. The amount at the -banks at the end of March last was £656, as against which there were sundry I creditors totalling £187 19s 3d. |
