(Feom Oto Own Correspondent.) GREYMOUTH, May 25. The Stafford Waimea dredge is being got into condition to resume work. Yesterday the directors of the Slab Hut Creek dredge paid a visit to the claim, where ft formal opening took place. The dredge was started, and 'worked fairly well. The machiaiery came off the Kangaroo dredge, and is in excellent order. The pontoons are built of hardwood and kauri, which should last for some years to come. The spot is an ideal one for working a dredge, the ground being very easy and free from heavy timber a»S boulders.
