DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.
The monthly meeting of tlie D.J.C. Committee, held on the 2nd inst.. was attended by the Hon. Geo. M'Lean (in the chair). Messrs Thomson, Hazlett. Coughlan, Myers, and Miller. Apologies were received from Messrs Solomon, Hanlon, and Taggart.
In connection with the winter meeting, to bp held on the 2nd and 3d June, it was decided that the first ra-ce each day start at 12.30, and the last at 4.30, and that train service cci responding to last year be applied for.
Mt Gr. B. Bullock was granted leave of absence during his trip to England.
The Secretary of the Racing Conference notified that the annua.l meeting of delegates would be held at Wellington m Ju!y next. — It was lesolved that the Hon. Grt>o.~ M'Lean and Mr S. Solomon be anpointed to represent the D.J.C.
The Garden Committee reported tbat the hedge round the grand stand enclosure had now been planted. — Approved.
