We would ask farmers when Bonding samples always to put a price on them, as buyers do not feel inclined to make offers: — Wheat. — We have to report a further drop of Id per bushel. Best price obtainable for prime velvet and Tuscan, 3s; red sorts, 2s lOd; fcwl wheat, 2s 9d. Oats. — Market firm at last week's prices. Fair demand for good quality, but not many offering. Milling, Is 9d , B grade, Is Bd. Barley. -Prime malting wanted.
Chafi. — Market in over-supply. Prims oaten •heaf chaff, £3 7s 6d to £3 12s 6d ; medium, kard to quit at £3 to £3 5s peT ton (sacks extra). 'Ryegta.se. — Fair demand. We have sold at: Farmers' dressed, light seed, Is 9d to 2s 3d , heavy-weights, 2s 9d to 33 3d ; machine dress2d, Ss 6d to ss ; light seed, Is 9d to 2s 3d ; Heavy seed, 2s 3d to 3s. Cocksfoot. — Farmers' dressed, 3d to 3£d; machined. 5a to 6d. liinseed. — Scarce; nominal value, 133 to 5 145; granted. Ghewings's Fescue. — Demand for this seed is brisk, and price has gone up to 2d per l>b. Potatoes. — Market fairly welf supplied, white sorts selling at £5 to £&; Derweots. good ripe samples, keenly sought after at £5 ss; diseased and unripe sorts hard to quit from JE2 10s to £4_los, according to quality and condition. We have just added a clover polisher, and as ire have a machine of ihe latest type for each Icind of seed, we give from 5 pei cent, to 10 per cent, better cleaning results than a machine which cleans ali seeds. We also store seed free of charge until cleaned, and keep same insured. Storing Grain. — We are prepared to store, receive, and deliver, insure, with three months' free storage, at 3d per sack. Our stores are vermin proof and connected with siding. TXTJIT JJTO PBODUCB REPORT " Defiance " dried milk, 9s 9d per dozen (four dozen in case). Butter.— Prime salt, 8d to Sid ; off, 6d to 7d ; separator, in lib. pats, 9d to 9|d; storekeepers' lots, 4Jd, Sid (in full supply). Onions. — Colonial, £10 to £11. Honey. — Demand is not very strong. Prices «re ruling from 3Jd to 4d for goad quality. Section honey in demand, 8s per dozen pound sections. Beeswax is 4d. wanted. Eggs.— Fresh, Is 8d; preserved, Is 2d. - "Walnuts, 5d io 6d, wanted. • Bacon.— Rolls* Bd. , Hams, 8d to S}d. Bigs:— For sizes up to 1601b, first-class dairyfed quality,- from 4d- - Butter boxes, with parchment linings, we can supply at 18s per dozen. Vickery's egg preservative, 20s per case of 8 gallons. ' Poultry. — Apply for particulars for export. - Prices as under : Prices for export iave risen again, and ours are the highest prices paid. Fowls, 3*!b to 41b, 3s; chickens and roosters, 3£lb to 4~|lb, 3a 3d ; do, 4£lb and over, 3s 6d. Ducks, 4lb to Sib, 3s 9d; do, 3lb to 41b, 3s. Geese; ss. Turkeys : Cocks, 8d per lb ; hens, 6d per lb. Hens and. chickens must not weigh N below 3ilb each ; ducks net below 3lb each, as the department will not pack light weights. All poultry must be consigned to poultry depot, and prices are free of railage. Geese and turkeys wanted. Poultry must not arrive here on Fridays or Saturdays. Fruit. — We receive consignments by every ■teamer from Australia, the Islands, and our «wn colony, and hold sales daily on arrival of consignments. Sacks. — We can quote 44in corn sacks, 6s Sd; 46in, 6s 9d: 48in, 7s; second-hand grain sacks, 5s 6d; good flour sacks, 5s per dozen. Ovo gold medal egg preservative, part, on Application.
