NEW ZEALAND KENNEL CLUB

The ordinary monthly meeting of the New Zealand Kennel Club was held in the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington, on Thursday, 6th inst., at 8 p.m., the following delegates being present: — Messrs A. Robertson (Wairarapa P., P., and Dog Society). J. Davis (Masterton A. and P. Association), Barton (Dunedin Fanciers' Club), W. Janson and M. Grenside (Wanganui A. and P. Association). S. E. Harrop (Hawke's Bay K. and P. Club), J. F. Fitzserald (Auckland Kennel Club), J. Philpot (Egmont A. and P. Society), Dr Faulke (the president) presiding. The minutes of the previous monthly meeting were read and confirmel. Apologies for non-attendance were received from Messrs J. C. Lane (Manawatu A. and P. Association) and D. Wright (Egmont A. and P. Society).

Correspondence (inward) : Letter received from the Bulldog Club of New Zealand applying for affiliation. — It was resolved that the Bulldog Club of Now Zealand be elected an affiliated club, provided the annual subscription be paid. % fiaa Hawke's Bay K. and P. Club wrote

applying for July 12 and 13 for its show date*. — Agreed to.

The Dunedin Fanciers' Club wrote asking that the show dates originally applied for by it, and afterwards cancelled, be granted it. — It was moved and seconded that the Dunedin Club bo granted July 13, 14, and 15, as applied for. — Mr Harrop moved as an amendment that the Dunedin Club be. written to asking- it to select another date, as the dates — viz.. July 13, 14-, and 15 — would clash with the Hawke's Bay K. and P. Club. — The amendment, being seconded, was put and agreed to. - A letter was received from the secretary of the Masterton A. and P. Association expressing regret for his omission to forward nis association's schedule of dog classes for the approval of this club. — The secretary was instructed to write to the Masterton A. and P. Association asking for a copy of the schedule and catalogue of its recent show.

The Southland Society wrote enclosing a copy of its schedule for approval, and stating that it was asking Mr J. Maude, of Australia, to juds;e its show. — It was resolved that, provided the dates for the show are in June, and that the Schedule Committee is satisfied, the same be approved.

Mr Janson stated on behalf of the Schedule Committee that the Southland Society had omitted to send its " Regulations of Show " with the schedule, and that the same could not be approved of until they came to hand. — The secretary was instructed to wire the secretary of the Southland Society in this matter.

It was resolved that championship certificates be issued to Mr W. Janson for his deerhound dog Whareroa Victor, and Miss F. Emily Hindmarsh for her s.c. fox terrier dog Kano, to be numbered respectively Nos. 1 and 2.

An account of 12s was passed for payment.

Sir Grenside was elected to fill the vacancy on the Schedule Committee. Messrs \V. .Tan-on and J. Philpot resigned from the Vigilance Committee, both gentlemen stating that this year they would not be able to spare the time that should be devoted to such an important work.

Tt was resolved that the election of a Vigilance Committee bo put on the order paper for the next meeting.

It was resolved to notify all societies and olubs who«e annual subscriptions are outstanding that the same must be paid before their schedules will be approved of, in accordance with the rules.
