OAMARU, April 21. The Easter Bowling Tournament opened here to-day in fine weather. The entry was large enough to keep all the rinks fully occupied. Owing to heavy showers on the previous day. the greens, which otherwise were in good order, were somewhat slow, but improved during the day under the influence of a warm sun. The bowling championship of Australasia was won by Young (Chatswood), beating Cfaitncll (CKatswood) by 21 to 17. The Victorian players failed to get into the final. The Rev. A. W. Brough, a delegate of the London iiissionary Society, has arrived in Australia on a lecturing tour. After visiting the various Australian Slates he will journey to New Zealand.
