ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.

There was a fair attendance at Addington to-day, and the entries were good in most departments.
Fat Cattle. — 161 of mixed quality were yarded. Beef was in better demand, with the exception of cow beef, and good to prime realised from 19s to 21s — a few head up to 225 ; secondary, 17s 6d to 18s 6d ; cows and inferior, 15s to 17s per 1001b. Some prime steers fetched from £9 7s 6d to £10 ss, others from £0 15s to £9 5s ; heifers sold at from £5 to £7 12s Gd, and cows at from £4 15s to £7 12s Gd. Calves were not of very good quality, and prices ranged from 7s 6d to 31s. Store Cattle. — The entry was irregular, but prices generally averaged those of last week. There was a good demand for good cows at from £6 to £3.
Store Sheep. — These sold well, but backward lambs were from Gd to Is easier. Prices realised were : Forward wethers, 19s Gd to 21s; others, 18s to 19s Gd ; ewes — two and four-tooth 20s to 225, four to eight-tooth 20s to 20s lOd, full-mouthed 17s Gd to 18s 3d, aged 16s to 17s 6d, culls from 10s ; forward lambs, 15s to 16s ; others. 12s 6d to 14s 9d ; shorn culls, 6s 9d to 9s Gd. Fat Lambs. — The entry was - slightly below that of last week, and included a good proportion of unfinished sorts. The sale opened indifferently, but rapidly improved, and the average prices equalled those of last week. Tegs sold at from 18s 9d to 21s ; lambs, 16s 6d to 18s 6d.
Fat Sheep. — Prices were much on the same basis as last week. The range was : Wethers — good to prime 22s to 24s 3d, others 19s Gd to 21s 9d; ewes — prime heavy 21s to 235, gooil 18s 6d to 20s 6d. others 13s 6d to 18s. Some special pens sold at 19s 9d to 21s Id. Merino ewes realised 9s to 13s Id. Pigs. — There was a good entry, and the demand for fat classes was sound, but heavy baconers were easier. Stores had a dull sale, and prices were from 2s to 3s lower than those for last week. Baconers fetched 46s 6d to 56s (equal to 4*d per lb) ; heavy, to 65s (equal to 4d per lb) ; choppers, to 103s ; porker 3, 28s to 39s (equal to 5d per lb) ; large stores, 23s to 28s ; medium. 16s to 225 ; weaners, 7s to 10s.
