CLUTHA SHEEP DOG CLUB TRIALS.
The sixth annual meeting of the Clutha Sheep Dog Club was held on Wednesday and Thursday on Mr Peter Murray's property at Barnego Flat, Balelutha. The weather on the first day was cold and boisterous, but this was compensated for by fine weather on the second day, and record entries rewarded the efforts of the club officials. The grounds where the trials were held are considered admirable for the purpose, the sheep being liberated on a ridge and the yarding being effected in a nice level paddock. Accordingly, onlookers arc enabled to view all the work done by jihe_
'in tho summer. The green food consisted of finely chaffed rape and lucerne, both splendid food';. The rape is the better alternative, while lucerne is the higher m food value, -o that the merits of the two given foods lie in different result-.
